We’re proud to support The Kali Polis Project, an innovative urban resilience initiative hosted by The Demos Center at the American College of Greece.
The project connects university students with municipalities to co-design and implement initiatives addressing real urban and climate-related challenges - from biodiversity enhancement and citizen awareness to civil protection and sustainable urban development.
With support from the Helidoni Foundation, The Kali Polis Project will develop a structured knowledge-transfer framework designed to strengthen the long-term impact and support its replicability across Greece.
This includes the creation of a Municipal Handbook and a Resource Library documenting methodologies, case studies and practical tools emerging from collaborations between students and local governments.
By connecting education, civic participation and local governance, The Kali Polis Project is helping build a stronger culture of urban innovation, climate resilience and civic engagement,, while empowering young people to play an active role in shaping more sustainable and resilient communities
“When young people collaborate directly with local communities and municipalities, they become active contributors to more resilient and sustainable cities.”
